Something else more interesting than my mindless rant.

My dear dear Foreign Minister,

It's either you are clueless, or you just have to brush up your knowledge in International Relations.

Eh wait a minute, this UN knowledge should be part of your syllabus already when you are a teenager, since it have been existing for 60 years.

In the latest report on how you commented that the US should not meddle with our politics, and that another organisation like the United Nations have the right to, because they are the international organisation, might I point out that US is one of the permanent members of UN? That they are the founding members?

That being the permenant members they have the power to veto anything proposed by the committee? That they are the ones who propose everything but sign nothing? By right, they could set up any rules they want, and breach all of them, because they are founding members.

What's even better, you gave them another loophole to further probe into the investigation.

Well done, my Foreign Minister. Instead of trying your best to keep their noses out of the saga, you are now giving them more reasons to continue nosing around. Probably the next time they speak they'll announce "As one of the permanet members of UN, I hereby declare that the USA have the right to intervene".

Then you can bloody kick yourself for making such a stupid statement, and giving them the realisation that Malaysia is governed by stupid people.

I've always had more respect for you than the entire Cabinet members because I see that you are capable of handling a few relationships with the international committee, but never would I thought that you would utter such nonsense. Sheesh. Even if you want to claim some other global organisations, don't use UN la. Come on.

On another note, the lecturer showed something about Disenfranchisement which happened during the Bush presidency and elections, and it has been highlighted since year 2000. That documentary talks about how the African Americans were disenfranchised. Their names were being cut off from the electoral roll, because their names were too similar with another name who is a felon.

Or the ballot machines were just not enough to cater the massive amount of voters in that area. It's not that those ballot machines were broken or malfunctioned. They just mysteriously did not appear during the time when the voting dates arrived. Many of the politicians argued, and even brought it up to the Congress. There is something beautiful about friendship and support when other congressmen and congresswomen from other parties demanded the Republicans for explanations regarding the votes or voters who were not able to cast their votes.

It is a sign of discrimination for American citizens so many years after Martin Luther King gave his famous speech. Sad isn't it, that the dominant ones will just not uphold their principles to be unite with others, and instead manipulating the voters and citizens of the minority or staying in areas concentrated with those minorities?

I find that sign way too similar with what is going on here. Especially regarding the electoral rolls. That was the time when many of the citizens find phantom voters registering to their house address, amounting to 50 of them sometimes. It is just odd that when proposed that every Malaysian citizen be given the right to vote automatically at the age of 21, the Election Commission rejected it.

Why? Because we are all aging differently? It's the weirdest decisions to reject that. Not only it'll make the system smoother, it'll eliminate chances of phantom voters. Unless they felt that they still need to continue behaving like saints while tampering with the votes. Just saying, that it is weird.

Ah well, I'm living on historic times as my lecturer put it. He even suggest that we should write it down so that we can present it to the next generation later on. Haha. Right...wait, isn't this what I'm doing?

=D

xD appreciate everythin ;)

dont think US will bother to use da UN, cos China & Russia will surely speak out against interfering in foreign internal state affairs then...like da case w/ zimbabwe...US ain't da sole boss of UN anymore...rais ain't as clueless as u thought he was...

Ooh, if that's the case then thank god I think. Although I do not think the U.S will back down so easily.

So if Rais wanted to make a stand, he'd better make a very very firm stand.

But maybe it is just how I intepret the news. Thanks for pointing it out Rin.
